FELONY AND MISDEMEANOR COUNTY CRIMINAL SEARCH: A search of the county court for any criminal records pertaining to an applicant. This report also includes any active warrants and open court cases listed on the court docket. Note: County criminal searches are not available in New York, please order a New York Statewide Report.
MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL CRIMINAL INDEX SEARCH: A database-driven search of over 250,000,000 records, including the OFAC (Patriot Act) SDN and Blocked Persons List, Department of Corrections information in 40 states, county court records in over 200 counties, and a LIVE search of the National Sex Offender Registry. Note: Court record information found in the Index Search must be verified by a county criminal search.
STATEWIDE CRIMINAL SEARCH: A report, usually from a State law enforcement agency, which reveals criminal history on an applicant. Turnaround time varies. A report of this nature has limited uses and may not include all records at the county level.
FEDERAL CRIMINAL SEARCH: A search of the federal court for any criminal records pertaining to an applicant. This report also includes any active warrants and open cases listed on the court docket. Federal courts can be searched by district, state or nationally.
SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY SEARCH: An up-to-date search of the National Sex Offender Registry for registered sexual offenders. Some states have restrictions regarding the dissemination of this data.
EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION: Verifies dates, position held, salary earned, and eligibility for rehire for previous employers. Also contacts a former supervisor or manager for an interview about employee performance. Note: Some employers prohibit the release of certain information by company policy.
EDUCATION VERIFICATION: Confirmation of an applicant’s claimed education credentials (high school, college, professional, doctorate, technical degrees, or attendance). Search confirms the highest degree earned.
SOCIAL SECURITY TRACE REPORT: This report traces the use of a social security number in public records. This is primarily used to reveal alias names an applicant may have used and areas in which they may have lived, but does not verify that the social security number is valid.
SOCIAL SECURITY VERIFICATION: Given a name, date of birth, gender, and social security number, we verify that the number has been assigned to the person matching those criteria. This report is only available if the subject is an employee of the company.
DRIVER’S LICENSE HISTORY REPORT: A copy of the state’s driving record for a given driver’s license. Some states require specific release forms from the applicant.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT CREDIT CHECK: A credit report provided by a national credit bureau for employment purposes, which does not include a credit score.
COUNTY CIVIL SEARCH: A search of the county court for any records of civil litigation involving your applicant. Civil records are often verified by name only.
FEDERAL CIVIL SEARCH: A search of federal courts for any records of civil litigation involving your applicant. Civil records are often verified by name match only. Federal courts can be searched by district, state or nationally.
DOT COMPLIANCE VERIFICATION: Verifies with previous employers that applicant complied with Department of Transportation drug and alcohol screening regulations.
WORKERS’ COMPENSATION CLAIM SEARCH: A check of state records for evidence of any Workers’ Compensation claims for the subject. Note: Worker’s Compensation information is strictly regulated by each state and is not available from all states. Some states require notarized release forms. This report is only available if the subject is an employee of the company.
